A short summary of your project

In this project, I explored traditional patterns and totems through the Li culture to create a more accessible modern menswear, learning from traditional culture and regenerating it in a fashionable way.

Clothing is one of the important symbols for understanding and distinguishing a nation, and it is also the cultural symbol and carrier of a nation. The production and formation of clothing are closely linked to the natural environment in which humans live, especially the climate conditions. At the same time, the different production methods in various places also play a major role in the formation and development of clothing. This is also the reason why I chose to explore the minority culture of my country in my major project. The reason why I chose the Li people was because I was attracted by their rich patterns and their unique weaving technology.

The final garment will be a high quality, modern, everyday menswear collection with attention to detail, combined with unique design elements to create a warm autumn/winter collection.

Where will the money go?

• Garments making: 200
• Fabrics and trims: 500
• Photographs(model, shooting, makeup): 300
• With the extra funds raised will goes to the final garments to increase the quality.
