Filmmaking BA (Hons) Graduation Project

After a fall from grace, an ex-famous dishwasher begins working in a cafe owned by Rivkah, a proud jewish woman. Together, they confront his past as he learns to accept his Jewish identity.

We are raising money to help fund our graduation short film! This is our most ambitious project yet, and we are so excited to bring it to life!

Our Goals:

Our project’s themes revolve around the exploration and acceptance of culture and identity, framed through a heartwarming and touching love story.

We aim to represent British-Jewish culture in a way not often seen on screen. We hope the film will resonate with those who see themselves in either Mo or Rivkah, connecting to a wider audience who can see a new perspective through these characters.

We also hope to challenge the typical styles of British filmmaking, bringing a whismy and warmth to the story.

Where will the money go?

Estimated breakdown of costs:

Locations: 600

Casting: 700

Art Department: 450

Catering: 100

Emergency funds: 150
