Meet The Team!

Having successfully launched our KU Backer we'd love to introduce to the passionate and dedicated student team who with your incredible support can make this project a reality.

All us are confirmed space nuts! dedicated to expanding humankinds journey into the the universe. This journey constantly requires pushing the boundaries of technology and the constant innovation of new ones while at the same time overcoming complex problems. The benefits it can return for all of us are simply unimaginable.

What we all feel is lucky that after our studies we will all in some way play a part in that amazing journey.

Universally it is a field that sparks excitement, deep fascination, untold opportunities and the imaginings of incredible adventure in the hearts of so many. Despite this there are many thousands of people right now who in early life dreamed of playing a role in humankinds journey to the stars only for that dream to be never realised. This cycle  continues year on year and every year thousands of young minds simply decide that entry to this amazing field is something unachievable and the barriers against them are too great for this to be attainable.

The tragic fact is that this is not true at all. So many are extremely capable and the  decision not to follow this dream is most often based almost exclusively on misconceptions that are not only completely outdated they offer almost no real reflection of the modern space industry at all.

Alongside this just as many school children never even consider this career path. The gap of detachment is so wide it seems almost an abstract concept rather than any kind of realistic career choice for many school children a great many know almost nothing about it.

The good news is this problem is not an complex one to solve in fact it's simple!

It is about providing a single catalyst that establishes a much needed connection between the space sector and our school children. The best way to engage young minds is through positive, enjoyable experiences that are memorable for them.. In a single workshop you can not only dispel the myths children may believe about the space industry, you can break down the perceived barriers it holds for them, inform them it's not only attainable but with the vast range of human resource needs the sector requires it's open to almost every possible skill set imaginable.

The modern space sectors rapid growth means it is consistently short of human resources. it is secure, financial rewarding and continually works on pushing the limit of human achievement. it is not only another option but an incredibly strong one that is waiting for them.

Positive memorable experiences aren't created by just talking though. They are compounded by activities that have tangible sensory elements and to make them memorable they must offer something different to what children normal come into contact with. For a space based workshop that's easy to provide. How many school children would have come into contact with a planetary surface exploration vehicle before? Even if so how many have had a chance to operate it set the exact constraints it has on moon or mars? it's an impactful experience, extremely cost effective, easily scalable and offers a wonderfully unique first connection to the space industry.

We are all very lucky each of us have had that one spark or connection that inspired us and encouraged us to pursue our dreams in the space sector and it thanks to those individuals that we entered this field of study. That one connection was simply the difference for us.

If our STEM rover project can provide that one life changing connection for just a single child every effort put into its development for us we feel has been worthwhile.

That the STEM rover project in a nut shell for us.
