In the 1970s, Catholic vs Protestant boarding schools cause a divide between two girls

Story

Two young girls living in a catholic boarding school in rural England, in 1975, rebel against their peers and teachers to control their own lives. Whilst sneaking out, answering back, and causing mischief, one girl finds her way to escape through a catholic boy she meets at a house party. However, with different religious beliefs, is it possible to make it work?

Your story

We are a group of filmmakers looking to create a film exploring female friendship and their attitude towards the systems in charge of them.

The four of us are driven to create a film that reflects the time period as well as showing the freedom behind being a teenager

Where will the money go?

The money will go towards our props as our art direction is one of the most important roles within this film as we want to be able to make a realistic 70s set.

£100 - costumes

£100 - bedroom props (bed, mattress, bedding etc.)

£100 - classroom scenes (desk, chairs, mailbox)

£100 - leftover funds to ensure cast and crew can be paid.

The match funding will also ensure that we can potentially go over budget specifically in the dorm room scenes as props such as posters, and ornaments will help make the space realistic and come to life.
