How concealment convey into fashion design?

My project

The aim of this project is to explore the application of concealment in clothing from historical to modern times. While walking on the streets of London, my phone was stolen from my pocket, along with my bank cards and money. This made me start thinking about how I can carry and protect my personal belongings when going out. Hence, I began observing pedestrians on the street and how they carry their personal property. It is important for my project to incorporate research on concealment from both historical and modern perspectives and to transform them into more contemporary designs. This project will target middle to upper-level modern women and create a luxury collection.

Who am i?

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh, and I am currently studying fashion design in Kingston University.

My story

These are smugglers' costumes that are invaluable, and few notice the way they smuggle their goods. Although these are illegal clothing and methods that are not recorded, I want to record and represent these valuable histories through my design and promote everyone's awareness of the smuggling methods and clothing of smugglers.
