Kingston GraphICs Weekend

We are Kingston's BA Graphic Design class of 2018 and we need your help fundraising for our graduate degree show weekend! Kingston Graphics Weekend will be a four-day celebration of our hard work over the past three years, taking place at The Yard, Shoreditch from 14th - 17th June.

Over the weekend we will be showcasing a range of projects from our final year, as well as hosting a variety of events and workshops with both the surrounding community and leaders in industry. You can expect to see, hear, learn, contribute to and interact with projects that engage with a wealth of subjects, including food; education; printmaking and craft; sustainability; enterprise; politics and beyond.

Join us for our private view on the evening of the 14th June, and come along on the following days for a selection of workshops and events (schedule TBC). We look forward to seeing you there and cannot wait to share our work with you!

OUR YEAR

We are a class of 92 passionate students who have studied together for three years and are just about ready to graduate. We need your help to go out in style!

With projects ranging from a slow film about fast food; resourceful lamps made from washing machine waste; a human-sized book; breads uniting conflicting countries and so much more, we think of ourselves as a pretty versatile bunch. If the past three years have taught us one thing, it's that graphic design can exist far beyond it's title. By donating, you can help us show what we've learnt to you, the public and continue our education further by creating a space for discussion.

WHERE THE MONEY WILL GO

Our show has been self-funded until this point and now we're asking you to help with the final push. Organising a four-day degree weekend takes a whole lot of work and financial backing, with funding going towards things such as venue hire, publication printing, material costs and plenty more. Without your final contribution we won't be able to make it happen. Our money will be split between;

Exhibiting in The Yard, Shoreditch. £6,000 is needed to make our show happen at this exciting Central London location.
Show publication is estimated to cost £1,500 and will be given out to all visitors of the show.
Construction and build will need £2,500 to provide supplies and support the display of all our hard work.
Additional costs will support the running of our workshops and events.

Please put some money towards our show and help us to display our work, host workshops, engage with the public, contribute to the local community and stimulate discussion with designers. As well as helping with all this, your generosity could also provide you with a gift in return too!
