A collection inspired by nautical adventure, the jolly sailor and the world of knitwear.

A short summary of MY PROJECT

My graduate collection 'Nautilus' is inspired by the colourful world of the marine, the nautical adventure and the jolly sailor. It is an immersive exploration into the joyful through the themes of my families maritime background, reminiscent of my childhood adventures in and on the water. It is a collection blended of knitwear pieces and woven stripe mania. I have relied upon deadstock yarns and environmentally friendly fabrics. 

Who am i

I am in my final year of my Fashion BA at Kingston University, with a keen interest in knitwear and inclusive clothing, designing for an array of bodies and people. 

my story

I aim to design for underrepresented bodies, using knitwear to enable me to fully construct my own fabrics for multiple measurements. It is so important to me to design as environmentally conscious as possible and inclusively after struggling with the fit in fashion industry for so many years. All of my fabrics are carefully chosen to reflect the positive mood of my collection and most are produced completely from scratch by myself on the knit machine. Here's your chance to capture your audience's attention! 

Where is the money going

Recently, I unfortunately had my car broken into with all of my yarns and course materials stolen, meaning I am working again from scratch. Your donations would be greatly appreciated to help me re-buy any materials taken to make this collection come to life. The funds would also help me in executing my final fashion shoot for the collection, and a nautical film to go alongside this.

I have broken down my budget for the spend if I am able to raise this money: 

  • New yarns - £40
  • New fabric - £100
  • Venue hire - £50
  • Photoshoot models - £150
  • Photographer and film crew - £200
  • Styling accessories - £50

Anyone who donates I will keep updated with the progress of my project and send out copies of my final shoot images as a thank you and will credit in helping my collection come to life. My photoshoot is taking place on the 11th May and am aiming to raise money to help pay for this too.
