Producing copies of my dissertation to return to contributors from the community
This project is the publication of my dissertation, Recycling Goldmember - an in-depth analysis of the Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) title sequence’s pop culture and filmic influences.
I intend to reproduce the publication for each of the contributors, and as a future pop culture resource to encourage others to write their dissertations on their unusual favourite childhood film.
I’m a graphic design student who loves Austin Powers, so much so I wrote my 8,000 word dissertation on it!
There is very little academia written about Austin Powers, so I was keen to contribute to the small pool of resources, drawing both on film studies and my personal interest in the film. Additionally, the publication includes an interview about people’s relationship to the film franchise. I would like to produce enough copies so that there are enough for each contributor since their input was really important in developing the content for the publication.
