A short summary of still mother
Set on a London council estate, Still Mother follows the life of Kerry, a sharp-minded, emotionally worn single mum navigating addiction, grief, and isolation. As she drifts through familiar routines, dodging neighbours, facing her past, and accepting the pull of the bottle, her world blurs between the mundane and the surreal. When her children quietly re-enter the picture, a fragile but profound sense of connection and care takes root. Intimate, grounded, and quietly magical, Still Mother captures the small, invisible moments that shape a woman on the edge.

This work aims to break the stereotype of "failed mothers" and show their real and complex emotional world.
