A short summary of your project
Ellie works days and Charlie works nights, making the bathroom their only shared space to connect and dream about a vacation, but financial setbacks threaten to derail both their trip and their relationship.
Synopsis
Charlie and Ellie live together in a small apartment and are desperately trying to earn money for a long-awaited vacation. Their work schedules do not match - Charlie is forced to work at night, which is why they almost do not intersect with each other in their own apartment.
The only place they meet regularly is in the bathroom, where they try to tell each other how their day went, discuss plans for a future trip while one is going to work and the other to bed.
The vacation plan becomes the primary goal, absorbing all other plans or activities they might have. Then a series of sudden financial setbacks pushes them further and further away from their cherished trip. Because of this, the characters themselves begin to move away from each other.
Who we are
We are a small team of young filmmakers from MA Filmmaking course at Kingston University. We are passionate about telling our own unique stories, encapsulating the fragile and setting free the unexpected.
Our goal
The goal of our project is to explore the theme of postponed life. In pursuit of happiness, people tend to focus only on the future, often idealising it, while completely forgetting to connect in the present and be happy right now.
