Traditions bind us, but do they define us?

Who are we?

We are a passionate group of filmmaking students from Kingston University, driven to bring a story we believe into life. With your support, we can create a compelling short film that explores themes of love, social class, and traditions.

The Story:

Our film takes place in a lavish 1950s manor where guests relive a 24-hour time loop of a New Year's Eve party. Everyone wears a bracelet which keeps them frozen at the end of the loop - everyone except Arthur, who is tasked with restarting the loop—a role imposed on him by the higher class.

Despite his role, he falls in love with Anna - a high-class woman. With each reset, he slowly uncovers Anna's struggle to uphold her family’s tradition-bound lifestyle. Will they be able to break free from this spiral?

Why this film matters:

Our film is a thought-provoking exploration of class, traditions, and the consequences of technological overindulgence. The time-loop device, central to the story, is more than just a plot mechanism; it symbolizes the unchecked pursuit of convenience and control through technology.

Our story critiques how technological advancements, when used irresponsibly, can deepen societal divides, leaving those in power blind to the human cost of their luxury.

This film matters because it dives into the contrasting views of social classes towards how technology is used and how it shapes our society.
