Hello from Kingston graphic design class of 2024! 

Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal so that we can host our exhibition and showcase our work to industry and celebrate all that we have been making in the last 5 or so years! With your help, we are hoping to raise £12,000 to help us put this show on the road. This money will help us with paying for the venue in Peckham, building bespoke furniture to display our projects on and putting on events and activities to share our passion and knowledge on topics we have become specialists in. 

Unfold is a group of our year on the BA(Hons) Graphic Design course who have many passions within the design world and would like to celebrate all the skills we have learnt and developed. The show is a great way to put all of this into practice not only through the process of designing, curating and building it. But also a way to showcase our knowledge through a bespoke range of workshops and talks from smaller collectives within Unfold. These will allow us to carve out a conversational space to interact with potential employers in the industry and pushes the boundaries of what a graduate show can be. 

Following tradition, the show will be held at Copeland Gallery, Peckham, July 4th-7th. We will be celebrating on opening night with DJs from our year and a shop to browse all the goodies that have been produced by people on the course.

Despite having pushed a brilliant fundraising effort throughout the year this year we need a bit more help to ensure we can fulfil the plans we have. All donations will come straight to us and anything you can donate is hugely appreciated by the whole team that have been working really hard alongside their studies to put this together. 

Where will the money go?

The show overall will cost around £12,000 but the matched funding here will go a long way to cover the majority of the show! A little break down of how the money will be used:

• Venue: £5,000
• Show build: £2,200
• Publication: £3,000
• Promotional print and invites: £1,000
• Transport: £300
• Guest speakers: £500

If we raise over our goal we want to create a fund within the course that helps people with the production costs of the course. Printing and building costs can creep up on you and a well executed project is what helps your portfolio to stand out from the crowd and we don't think anyone should be excluded from this due to cost.
