Illustration animation futures
For four days in June, we are hosting a series of events around the theme 'Illustration Animation Futures'. It's an opportunity to engage with collaborative workshops, discuss ideas, view our work in a gallery setting, and watch our moving image work in a dedicated cinema space.
So, what does the future of Illustration Animation look like?
Come and find out.
12th - 16th June 2018
Candid Arts Trust
Who are we?
We are 65 Illustration Animation students at Kingston School of Art.
Our course name is not connected by an &, or divided by a - or a /
It's one discipline: Illustration Animation.
Our work helps you see and make connections, visualise physical objects and sensory experiences, and develop empathy and insight.
Driven by research and process, we are creatives who communicate using narrative.
Our degree show is our chance to showcase and celebrate the work we've done over the last three years.
Where will the money go?
So far, we've managed to fundraise a substantial amount by ourselves. We've already secured Candid Arts Trust's 1st floor gallery and basement cinema. Now we need your help to make the rest happen!
Here's a rough breakdown of our costs:
- Vimeo pro account: £95
- Squarespace account and website domain: £155
- iPads and stands hire: £317
- Promotional posters (professionally printed): £280
- Publication printing & binding (professionally printed offset litho, perfect bound): £2000
- Show build materials (wood, paper, display fixtures, partitions, lighting): £1500
- Show build production (event security, carpentry, signage, technical support): £590
If we reach our target, any additional funds will be used in our series of workshops, talks, events and screenings.

We'll be posting updates and showcasing our work in the lead up to the show.
