A Group Exhibition Bringing Together 13 KSA BA Photography Graduates At Espacio Gallery

A summary of our project

Hello!

We would be thrilled if you would join us in supporting our group of 13 talented, ambitious photography graduates as we showcase our work at Espacio Gallery in East London. We are emerging artists who are trying to break into the art industry and make a name for ourselves after university. This exhibition represents an incredible opportunity for us to gain exposure and share our creative vision within the community.

We are aiming to raise £5,093 to cover the costs of this exciting exhibition. The funds we raise will go towards renting the venue, production and curation costs of the exhibition, as well as the logistics such as promotion, transportation, and refreshments needed to make a professional and impactful experience for both us and the audience.

This exhibition is more than just a showcase of young talent; it's a celebration of a diverse and vibrant community of emerging artists, a meaningful coming together at this crucial point in our careers. As well as collaboration and hopefully a meaningful experience for our audience through the transformative power of visual storytelling. Our work delves into a range of themes that reflect our journeys, perspectives, interests, lived experiences and aspirations. Through each of our lenses, we intend to capture the essence of resilience, ambition and creativity, offering a fresh perspective on contemporary issues and personal experiences.

The exhibition at Espacio Gallery is a chance to make connections between emerging artists and the wider community in the heart of London, creating a space where emerging talent meets opportunity. By supporting this project, you are helping us to build a platform to launch our careers and an opportunity to contribute to London's art scene.

Your support would mean the world to us, and we can't wait for the journey after university. Thank you for considering being a part of our beginning in the art industry.

Who are We?

Over the past three years, we have gathered as a group to study at Kingston University from all around the world. Now, coming to the end of our degree, 13 of us are planning to maximise our exit from university and reach people from different backgrounds, industries and communities. As a way for us all to break into the art world and showcase our work at the Espacio Gallery in July.

Kingston School of Art is known as one of the top creative universities in the UK, earning worldwide recognition for its performance, research, industry connections and student achievements. It's a place where we have all learnt to work collaboratively and develop essential skills while exploring different themes and creative practices, working in depth with the community within our degree and now wanting to showcase our work from our time at Kingston. From our BA photography course, we have focused on contemporary and historical work to produce socially engaging projects where we have gained valuable skills in image production while developing creative ideas and communicating them effectively within the community.

Your story

Art is something that can challenge perspectives, spark meaningful debate and bring communities together to provide insights into other people's stories or experiences. Through visual expression, art bridges the gap between unique experiences and offers new ways of seeing the world.

Our student exhibition at Espacio Gallery is more than a showcase; it's a celebration of creativity and ambition. As soon-to-be photography graduates, we are determined to make our mark in the competitive art world, and this exhibition is our first step towards that goal. Our work delves into themes of heritage, identity, culture and contemporary challenges, reflecting our journeys and aspirations.

This opportunity is not only for us as emerging artists but also for the audience who will experience our collective vision. By supporting this project, you are investing in the next generation of creative talent and helping us gain the exposure needed to build sustainable careers in the arts. Your contribution will directly support the production of the exhibition, from renting the venue to curating and presenting our work in a professional and impactful way.
