I'm raising £1500 for my coming graduation film project, "Defocus," an experimental essay film exploring a Hong Kong migrant's journey through memory and discovery in the transformed streets of her youth.

This project blends DV footage with poetic narration to tackle themes of alienation, cultural dissonance, and belonging. It aims to resonate with art film lovers, Hong Kong culture enthusiasts, and those interested in immigrant narratives, offering a dream-like documentary experience that weaves time, space, and personal stories. "Defocus" is not just a film; it's a deeply personal exploration into the essence of belonging, memory, and identity. It's important to me because it tells a story that is often felt but rarely voiced.
