'BETWEEN US': 

'Between Us' is a documentary exploring the significance of Primarily Obsessional OCD (Pure O). Imagine a story where the complexities of mental health are seen not through clinical studies but through family conversation. 'Between Us' is a personal documentary that explores how Pure O OCD shapes lives and relationships through a conversation between my mother and me. Through this film, we want to give an honest portrayal of the disorder in our own way. This film is more than mental health; 'Between Us' is an example of the 'light at the end of a dark tunnel' - a journey toward understanding, healing, and personal growth. 

MY STORY:

Hi, I’m Charlie, the director, producer, and cinematographer behind 'Between Us'. Over the past three years, I’ve worked across various film sets in cinematography, dedicating the last two years exclusively to camera assistance. Now, in my final year of my degree, I’m stepping up into the role of a director to bring a deeply personal project to life. As a filmmaker and someone directly impacted by Pure O OCD, I’m positioned to tell this story with authenticity and passion. This documentary is not just a film—it’s a reflection of my own experiences and how Pure O OCD has shaped them, alongside raising awareness to the condition my mother and I both share. Your support will help me share this important story and contribute to greater understanding and empathy around mental health.

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT:

I'm raising £1000, which I hope will raise awareness of an often misunderstood condition and encourage others to share their experiences. Independent films like 'Between Us' rely on the generosity of people like you. Your donations will help us cover: 

Travel & Accommodation: This will help us cover my and my team's travel and accommodation, we will be travelling to the West Country during production (£250).

Catering: Feeding a small crew during production is essential to keep everyone energised and focused. Your contributions will directly help us keep our team happy and productive (£200)!

Camera & Lighting: This will cover any additional equipment rentals or accessories needed for the production, including lights and camera gear to create the right visual aesthetic (£250). 

Marketing & Distribution: We plan to submit 'Between Us' to a select group of film festivals. Submissions typically range from £20-£50, and these films will help us gain visibility in the film community and possibly further (200)! 

Contingency: Our safety-net for unexpected costs; production can be unpredictable, so this reserve ensures we're prepared for any surprises along the way without disrupting our progress (£100)!
