A short summary of your project
I'm aiming to raise £1000 to fund my next creative endeavour, following on from my graduate collection. I have already produced six looks but I'm aim to make six more as well as create a look book documenting the project as a whole.
Who are you?
I am a fashion design graduate, looking to carry on my sustainable practice through fashion production.
Your story
"If nothing else at least I have my things" project is focused on my personal processes of working and creating. From a young age, I was encouraged to utilize what I already owned to create art, which fostered a habit of collecting and hoarding items and fabrics. I saw potential in almost everything with the hope of repurposing them one day. This project delves into that way of thinking through various practices and processes.
- I want to challenge myself and prove that everything I need is within my reach and i don't need to source any new materials for a compelling collection.
- I want to honour materials and damaged, vintage clothes to give them a new lease of life.
- I aim to capture all of this by shooting my 12 looks and creating a beautiful, high-quality look book.
