About us
We are a passionate and dedicated group of filmmakers from Kingston University, united by a shared vision to bring a chilling horror story to life. Our project aims to delve into the dark, unsettling side of the internet and the growing, often dangerous reliance younger generations have on it. In an age where online presence can feel inescapable, we explore how these digital relationships blur the line between reality and nightmare.
Logline
When an isolated young man participates in a mysterious online phenomenon, he becomes tethered to a stranger on the other side of his computer screen. Soon, he becomes trapped as he quickly realises the stranger may have ulterior motives…
why this film matters?
This film matters because it taps into the pervasive, often unseen dangers of our digital age—the growing obsession with the internet and its dark side. In a world where we are constantly connected, we rarely stop to consider the psychological toll technology can take on us, especially for younger generations. Our story delves into the terrifying consequences of seeking validation online, and how the need to be seen and heard can lead us down a dangerous, uncontrollable path.
By sharing this film, we aim to spark a conversation about the real-world effects of digital addiction, loneliness, and the increasing reliance on technology for connection. It's not just a horror story—it's a reflection of the anxieties and vulnerabilities many people face today, particularly in an age where the line between reality and the virtual world is becoming ever more blurred.
