A short summary

Changes are scary, but they bring new heartwarming experiences in life, right? What if you are about to face a really BIG change? Like having a baby?

"The Test" is a short comedic film that delves into the whimsical and often absurd imagination of July, a young woman anxiously waiting for the results of her pregnancy test. As she navigates this nerve-wracking period, July’s mind takes her on a journey through a series of exaggerated scenarios that represent her deepest fears about pregnancy and motherhood. From envisioning herself as a clueless parent to imagining a chaotic household, July’s adventures are both humorous and heartwarming. Ultimately, the film explores the universal anxieties of impending parenthood with a light-hearted and playful touch.

Who are WE?

We are an international team of Filmmaking MA students: Min is the sound designer, Govind is the Director of Photography, Garv handles the editing, and Alla does writing and directing. We have already previously worked together on a short fiction film, so we approach filming "The Test" as a rehearsed crew and plan to produce a thing which is going to make you smile (and hopefully, laugh out loud as well). 

Where will the money go?

Bringing "The Test" to life is an ambitious goal (a little spoiler: we are planning to include a scene of giving birth in the film). So we need your support to cover the costs (and share the glory when the film is produced, of course!).

The costs breakdown:
  • Venue hire (3 days): £600
  • Props & Set Design: £150
  • Costumes: £100
  • Transport: £150
  • Catering (5 shooting days, snacks for the actors and the crew): £200
