What is the film about?
This short Documentary examines the complex emotions and conflicts surrounding the development of wind farms within local communities. It explores the delicate balance between the need for renewable energy, the interests of local residents, and the nation's commitment to a more sustainable future.
Who are WE?
We are second-year bachelor students with a keen interest in exploring a variety of issues beyond the borders of our own country. Specifically regarding the challenges and impact of renewable energy.
Director and producer: Eli Ruset Lager
Director of Photography: Leon Pena
Editor: Louis Wrench
why does this matter?
Even if the public mostly agree that renewable energy is a good thing, we want to explore all aspects of exactly how it affects the communities around them in the process. Is the destruction of the rare landscape and birdlife considered? Is it hypocritical to support wind energy if it is not where you live? Have the locals gained something from the new wind farm? These are questions we want to explore in our project, and we need your support!
