A short summary
We are raising money for a short experimental fiction film that aims to explore identity and co-dependency and ask questions of the delicate balance of sibling relationships. Two sisters, played by the real life twin sisters of the director, begin to experience dreams that blur the boundaries of their identity. As these dreams bleed into their narrow reality, the sisters will look to one another to restore the balance.
Twins tend to come riddled with preconceived notions. The innate physical similarity between identical twins gives rise to ways of thinking that assume an absence of individual identity. Rather than as individuals, they are commonly perceived as a single being. With this film we are looking to ask - How do identical twins experience their identity in light of these misconceptions?
By casting and working with two identical twins, we hope to imbue the film with a depth and real life insight that will offer the subject a fresh perspective.
