my project
The main concept of my project is Challenge, the notion of female vulnerability, instead proposing that women possess qualities like inner strength, ferocity, and self-reliance. How to balance vulnerability and strength in fashion design? In this project, I combined with the research on archive to experiment out a lot of fabric transformation, so that the fabric has a relatively hard strength despite its soft characteristics. I am in the process of raising funds to further develop this project.
who i am?
I am an MA Fashion Designer from Kingston University. I like to recreate the structure of the garment, but also like to transform the fabric, and integrate the two.
my story
I am a student who loves fashion design, and my work experience has made me pay more attention to women in the workplace. I want women to look like they have more strength under their fragile exterior. Therefore, I contrasted the weak elements and the strength elements through research, and combined the two. So I did a lot of experiments, I used armor elements to transform the fabric, so that the women have a strong appearance, at least it seems to be so. A concise silhouette is used to depict the softness of women. More experiments will be conducted to explore this topic.
