A short summary
You're going to make this short film happen and I am very excited to have you on board! My student short film is a Coming of Age/Social Drama story set in the beautiful Italy. Francesco is a 10 year old boy who wants to help his grandma out. He decides to work as a delivery boy in a Pizzeria, but the place where he works will challenge him in many ways. He is going to show you his loss of innocent while on his bicycle.
Who we are
My name is Cristina and I'm an Italian filmmaker studying MA filmmaking at Kingston. I have the help of my amazing classmates Haley, Jelena, Lauren and Stefanos. We are all excited to start this journey and film this short story. We are really passionate about this project and we want to get the best out of it.
The film
Francesco's story is inspired by thousand of stories in Italy. Young boys and girls are exploited by criminal organisations, especially in Southern Italy. It's important to spread the word and hear these stories. As a filmmaker, my way to share this with you, is through moving images. Cinema is a unique world that can capture the attention of all generations. However, filming is not something that you do on your own. I need actors, crew and yes, money!
Every donation is really important for me to improve my work and make a story that everyone wants to share and watch.
Where will the money go?
I will spend all donations on the production and advertising of Delivery Boy:
- Travel costs: £300 (Flying to Italy can be cheap, but still unfortunately it's not free)
- Food (For Cast and Crew for 4 filming day): £150
- Costume and Props: £100
- Advertising: £50
