Graduating Class Gift 2024

We are the Class of 2024, and we want to celebrate our graduation by paying it forward. We have all known someone who has struggled while at university, and we do not think it is fair that money should stop students from achieving their dreams.

Your £5 donation will go towards the Student Support Fund which supports students who find themselves in unexpected financial difficulty.

Last year’s Class of 2023 was our best yet, collectively raising over £7,000 which will have enabled 14 students receive Back on Track grants. If we all come together, we can do something incredible for the students who will come after us this year too!

Why I'm supporting the Class Gift 2024

My name is Zeena Saleh, and I'm graduating with a BSc in Psychology and Criminology as part of the Class of 2024. Speaking with alumni has been a highlight of my time at Kingston, and it's been incredibly rewarding to speak with individuals who are eager to offer support and guidance to our students in need.

It was so impactful to learn that last year 923 Kingston students were supported through Back on Track grants, many of them will also have part-time work to meet basic living costs. The support provides a lifeline for students who otherwise consider dropping out. Your donation can make a genuine difference. Every class gift counts, and it could be the ray of hope that prevents a student from giving up on their dream.

What will my donation fund?

Your generous gift will support the Student Support Fund, which offers assistance to students facing unexpected financial difficulties. It is often the last resort for students, and makes the difference between completing their studies or dropping out altogether.

I'm sure you understand the challenges you face when managing your current student finances. You might have had to miss lectures in order for paid work or due to unnecessary travel expenses. The Student Support Fund is designed to assist students dealing with the impact of the cost-of-living crisis, unforeseen bills, extra travel expenses, or small but necessary purchases to ensure their studies stay on course.

For those that make a £5 donation towards the Student Support Fund, You will receive a special Kingston Alumni gift to thank you for your support. You can collect your tote bag from the Kingston Alumni stand at the Town House reception on the day of your graduation.
