Support 6 dance bring their ideas to reality

A short summary of your project

This dance film explores the concept of the Butterfly Effect, the idea that small actions can trigger vast, unpredictable consequences. Set to the music Let it Happen by Tame Impala, the film follows a central character navigating an internal dilemma, while four surrounding dancers embody "butterflies", catalysts of change that disrupt, influence, and reshape their reality.

Blending house, locking, krump, and contemporary, the choreography reflects the tension between control and chaos. Each style adds a different texture, precision, and groove, colliding with raw intensity and fluid release, mirroring the instability of cause and effect. Moments of synchronisation dissolve into fragmentation, emphasising how quickly order can unravel. As the butterflies interact with the protagonist, subtle shifts escalate into an overwhelming transformation.

The film invites the audience to consider how seemingly insignificant encounters, decisions, or emotions can ripple outward, altering paths, identities, and outcomes in ways we can never fully predict.
