Fashion BA graduate collection by Charles Francis Hemsley

the tender side of queerness

I'm raising money to fund my BA graduate collection, which is a celebration of my queer community and heritage. For me, this collection is a small way to open the conversation around what it means to be queer and to show the tender side to fight stereotypes.

My name is Charles Francis Hemsley and I am in my final year fashion student at Kingston School of Art.

This project is exciting in many ways. However, the main focus is to inspire and uplift queer people, and so I have actively been involving as many queer people to collaborate on this collection as possible. I want this collection to be a queer love letter.

Where will the money go?

The money raised from this website will go toward shooting my lookbook / promotional package. These will highlight queer models wearing clothes designed with queer people, queer history and the future of queer dress in mind.

Costs:

  • Studio for shoot costs around £350.
  • Professional model cost £300.
  • photographer cost £250.
  • £100 for transport and food for shoot for people working on it.

Rewards

  • Anyone who kindly donates will get a copy of my lookbook as a thank you, to see where your generous contribution has gone.
